Founding Stallion - Country Buck

"Country Buck" Pictured here as a 2 year old, was the 5th Dun registered with the WABA and even though first thought to be buckskin was registered as a Yellow Dun. Foaled 28 January 1976 He was by imported QH stallion "Sittin Pretty"

Q465 and out of imported QH mare "Adarir's Polly" Q131. Bred in Victoria by C Walton and bought to WA by the Ormsby family. After a number of years he was sold back to the Eastern State and after returning to WA he lived out his remaining years at Allan Baines property in Newdegate were he died in late 1990's. Country Buck sired Red, Copper, Blue/Grulla and Buckskin/Duns right up to the time he died.

Founding Stallion - Willomurra Flags Folly

Born 25/11/74 at Willomurra Stud S.A. He competed as a cutting & reining horse in the Eastern States before being sold to a QH & Appaloosa Stud in WA. Dave (pictured) and Vale Long purchased him in 1981 and he enjoyed a long and diverse career in halter and ridden events. A Multi Supreme winner in Buckskin & QH classes, Champion of Champions and WAQHA Champion Stallion 3 years in a row. His cream gene meant he sired a full range of colours including Buckskin, Palomino & Cremello. Many of his progeny enjoyed successful show careers.

Notabley "Dainvale Dynasty" AQHA Hi Point Youth horse and "Silver Folly" still being shown successfully in his late teens. One of "Flag's" most notable appearances was leading a parade through the streets of Perth for the "The Man from Snowy River" premiere. "Flag" pasted away peacefully a week before is 35th birthday in 2008. He was a very special horse to the Long family and a very important part of the WABA showing & breeding history.

 Founding Mare - Sheringa Cream Sherry

Sheringa Cream Sherry was by Tejano Chico abd out of imported Dun QH mare "Briso's Candy" she was the dam of two stallions who played a big part early on in the WABA, "Sheringa Park Capri" & "Sheringa Park Jassman".
